I am an architect by profession, but I created this site to present both my professional qualifications and my hobby of photography. Of course, one could do this through social media or photo community platforms — but the combination of profession and personal interest felt too individual to fit neatly into those formats.
As my professional role has shifted towards management, I no longer have the creative freedom I once enjoyed as a design architect. I therefore try to express the creative side of my personality through photography in my private life — while my passion for architecture naturally continues to shape my eye and perspective.
I came to photography as a student. Since then I have been shooting on film with a Canon AE-1 — now over 40 years old — which over the years has been joined by a Canon F-1 and an EOS-1 V. For digital photography I work with a Canon EOS-5 and an EOS-1 Ds.

Ich bin von Beruf Architekt, habe diese Website jedoch geschaffen, um sowohl meine berufliche Qualifikation als auch meine Leidenschaft für die Fotografie zu zeigen. Natürlich liesse sich dies auch über soziale Medien oder Foto-Communities bewerkstelligen — doch die Kombination aus Beruf und Freizeit ist mir zu persönlich und individuell, um sie in diese Formate zu pressen.
Da meine berufliche Rolle heute im Management liegt, fehlt mir die kreative Freiheit, die ich früher als entwerfender Architekt hatte. Den kreativen Teil meiner Persönlichkeit versuche ich daher im Privatleben durch die Fotografie auszudrücken — wobei mein architektonisches Interesse selbstverständlich auch dort präsent bleibt und meinen Blick prägt.
